INTERFERENCE

We hope that you will join us on Friday, February 6th for the opening reception of J.M. Henry’s Retrospective Exhibition at McGuffey Art Center in historic downtown Charlottesville, Virginia.

The exhibition will take place from 5:30pm - 7:30pm in the main gallery. Refreshments provided. Free and open to the public – you’re welcome to visit open studios on all three stories, during the concurrent First Friday open house.

Following the exhibition, we welcome all friends and family in Celebration of Jim Henry at the nearby Omni Hotel, gathering in the Blue Ridge room, from 7:30 until no later than 10pm. Drinks and light fare will be provided. An adjacent lobby offers gorgeous seating areas, bar and restaurant. We hope that guests will mingle & reminisce in honor of the life of the late James Michael Henry. Storytelling and laughter encouraged, crying optional.

About McGuffey Art Center

Among the oldest artist cooperatives in the country & located one block from the Downtown Mall, the former McGuffey Elementary School building now houses dozens of art studios and beautiful gallery spaces. There’s a quiet magic in the creak of its hardwood floors, the worn stone staircases, and the tall windows — echoes of its past that still shape the experience of being there today.
